The Atlanta Black Archives Alliance (ABAA) was formed in 2017 by a group of Atlanta-area archivists invested in sharing our city’s unique and valuable resources on Black history and culture with as wide an audience as possible. We meet on a monthly basis to develop resources, plan programs and engage in professional fellowship with colleagues.
Members involved in this group work at a variety of Atlanta institutions:
- Kenan Research Center, Atlanta History Center
- Archives Research Center, Atlanta University Center
- Auburn Avenue Research Library, Fulton County Public Library
- Rose Manuscript, Archives, & Rare Book Library, Emory University
- Georgia Archives
- Archives, Kennesaw State University
- Spelman College Archives
